Not all heroes wear capes. And not all of them can fly, shoot webs, control the weather or arrived in a spaceship from another planet.
A lot of heroes have much more subtle superpowers. Maybe they can fix bikes in the blink of an eye. Or they can appear out of nowhere just in time to drive you to dance class. Some have world-class motivation skills honed coaching football, hockey and athletics teams. Others can turn into a human climbing frame, a scary monster or a snuggly pillow whenever the need arises.
But who looks after the heroes who look after us all?
For Father's Day this year (Sunday 16 June… don't forget!), MOJA will be celebrating Super Hero Dads who keep us all feeling safe and secure throughout the rest of the year.
If you come by MOJA for lunch, a snack or dinner before 16 June, kids can make their fathers a special, personalised gift to show their dad just how much they love them.
And on the day itself, you can reward your Super Hero Dad with some Super Hero sized food, like beef brisket, ribs or a traditional Sunday roast. We'll throw in a complimentary craft ale as a show of thanks too. Meanwhile, there'll be face painting to keep younger family members busy while Super Dads dive into their beer and burger rewards.
When you come to MOJA, we'd love to hear all about your dad's special superpowers. Here's what the MOJA team had to say about their Super Hero Dads:
"My dad's first superpower is to be able to work 15 hours a day, 6 days a week, and still have time for his family and to know every animal on his farm.
As a second superpower, he is some kind of animal whisperer, because he knows if something is wrong with one of his animals, just by looking at him."
"My dad is Ironman! He had an accident in 1995 and, since then, has been half-man half-steel, walking on a prosthetic hip, and with iron plates in his arm and jaw."
"My dad's superpower may be invincibility – he is turning 92 this year and is still going strong!"
